Description of modification

The Artex C406-1 HM ELT System consists of a switch/annunciator panel mounted on the starboard side of the center console, a transmitter, an NAV interface unit, a buzzer mounted on the aft lower avionics shelf, and an antenna mounted on the tail boom. The system is designed to function as a locator beacon, and provide automatic transmission of the aircraft identification and position in the event of an emergency. Present position
data is provided by the aircraft GPS system.
