Heli-One Establishes In-House AW139 Gearbox Testing October 19, 2022

October 19, 2022 - Heli-One, a leading provider of helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, has established in-house testing capability for the AW139 Intermediate Gear Box (IGB) and Tail Gear Box (TGB) at its Canadian facility in Delta, British Columbia. This latest expansion of Heli-One’s service portfolio not only expedites the turnaround times for customers at the base but also widens the service options for AW139 operators globally.

Carolyn Forsyth, General Manager of Sales, Commercial & Customer Support, says: “The modification program to our gearbox test cell to incorporate the AW139 IGB and TGB adds a new dimension to our service offering. “It smooths and shortens the gearbox overhaul process, and in turn can enable operators to optimize their asset availability. In a broader context, it’s yet another demonstration of our determination to remain at the forefront of MRO provision internationally.”

Heli-One is a Leonardo Helicopters Authorized Component Repair Centre and Airframe Service Centre, and offers MRO services ranging from major inspections to small component repair. Heli-One also offers extensive Avionics and Rescue Equipment maintenance services to AW139 operators as well as  custom modifications and repairs developed by Heli-One design engineers.
