Heli-One to Deliver Airbus Helicopters H225 Main Rotor Blade Repair in Stavanger

March 3, 2016 – Stavanger, Norway – Heli-One, a leading global provider of helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, announced today plans for its Airbus Helicopter H225 main rotor blade repair capability at its Stavanger, Norway facility will be fully operational by September 2017.

Heli-One has partnered closely with Airbus Helicopters to develop this repair capability and train Heli-One’s technicians. CHC Helicopter will be Heli-One’s first customer for H225 main rotor blade repair.

The added in-house capability allows Heli-One to reduce turnaround time on H225 main rotor blade repair from 60 days to between 4 and 14 days. This will minimize customers’ aircraft downtime and need for spare parts inventory.

“Heli-One has developed deep knowledge of the H225 and Super Puma aircrafts supporting CHC Helicopter and other operators,” said Anthony DiNota, President, Heli-One. By expanding our capabilities to include H225 main rotor blade repair, we can more efficiently service CHC and other operators who are using an increasing number of heavy helicopters for a broad range of applications – offshore transportation, search-and-rescue services, police and military work, firefighting and more.”

Heli-One’s Stavanger facility offers extensive MRO solutions and more than 21 mission specific modifications for the H225 aircraft. These include: main, intermediate, and tail gearbox repair, main rotorhead repair, hydraulic components repair and alternator and Makila 2A Module replacement, Levels 1-3.

Heli-One Stavanger also offers rotor blade repair capabilities for the Airbus Helicopters AS332L/L1/L2, Sikorsky S-92 and will add the same capability for the AgustaWestland AW139 in July 2017.
