United States, August 24, 2023 – Heli-One, a leading global provider of helicopter maintenance and support services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Colin Smith as its new Head of Growth and Strategy. Colin will be responsible for development and execution of the Heli-One business strategy to cohesively bring our products to market, support our customers and strategically position us to grow the business.
Colin has over 30 years of aerospace and defense experience, including time as a U.S. Navy helicopter pilot, test pilot and maintenance officer. Following his military career, Colin worked for Bell Helicopter and Hendsoldt Inc., leading Business Development and Program Management.

Colin’s education include a bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, a Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and a Master’s Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College. Most recently, Colin gained his MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School Of Business.
