RZESZOW, Poland – 22nd February 2013 – Heli-One, the world’s largest independent provider of helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, is now in full operation in Rzeszow, Poland.
Work is underway on Heli-One Poland’s first project – a major overhaul (G-Check), repaint and modification of a CHC Super Puma AS322L – with other helicopters to follow soon. The Rzeszow facility is now serving customers and satisfying the growing demand for helicopter MRO around the globe.
Rzeszow is Heli-One’s fourth major international workshop location and provides an extensive range of Base Maintenance services. The temporary facility, fitted with the latest equipment and technology, will be replaced by a customized hangar by the end of 2013. The new hangar will be built to the highest international standards so that customers can benefit from Heli-One’s sophisticated MRO capability.
Heli-One Poland is expected to grow to more than 100 employees within two years, creating new, high-skill jobs and providing extensive development opportunities for local area professionals. The company expects to invest significantly, above $15 million, on building costs, purchasing, training and other expenses related to the operation. That investment is likely to increase based on future business potential in the region.
